I was drooling over this guy’s stuff yesterday, particularly “liquid form”, which is an effect I’ve wanted to work out for a long, long time. Simon tells me they’re technically called metaballs and a quick google of the crazy maths involved scared the life out of me. But I won’t be beaten and it occurred to me that something similar might be possible with some careful layering of Flash 8 filters and effects. So here’s my half-hour attempt at a poor-man’s metaballs. Click ‘em and drag ‘em.
