Just thought I’d repost Thrillinocuous, my mashup of LCD Soundsystem’s “Get Innocuous” and Michael Jackson RIP’s “Thriller”, in honour of the untimely death of LCD Soundsystem. May they rest in peace.

I often have a tune going round in my head that morphs into another tune unexpectedly, and sometimes – just sometimes – those two tunes are a perfect fit. Had these two going round and round for a while and finally got round to mashing them up tonight, thanks to the breathtakingly flexible Ableton Live.

So here’s Thrillinnocuous (right click + save), a mashup of LCD Soundsystem’s “Get Innocuous” and Jacko’s “Thriller”, for your delectation and delight.

Every man and his dog’s remixing Radiohead at the moment, so I’ve had a go too. Everything you hear in this comes from the original, drums included. Live really can do some amazing things with audio. Please vote! Ta.
